Introduction: The field of neuroendoscopy is rapidly expanding with increasing indications for endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV).
Discussion: As a treatment for hydrocephalus, ETV has the advantage of providing a more physiological cerebrospinal fluid diversion without shunt hardware which reduces the risk of recurrent infection and malfunction. The success rate of ETV has been increasing with decreasing morbidity and mortality.
Conclusion: Originally, ETV was indicated for cases of obstructive hydrocephalus, however the indications are expanding. To highlight this, we present a small series of cases were ETV is not traditionally indicated and was a treatment of last choice.

Objective: To analyze the clinical effectiveness of Entecavir (ETV) and Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate (TDF) Tablets for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB).
Methods: Clinical data from 100 CHB patients admitted to our hospital from April 2022 to April 2024 were retrospectively reviewed. Of these, 45 cases in the control group received ETV, and 55 cases in the research group received TDF tablets.

A 54-year-old man presented with gait disturbances, urinary incontinence, and headache for 6 months. Head computed tomography indicated several high-density mass lesions in the quadrigeminal cistern, causing occlusive hydrocephalus. Digital subtraction angiography confirmed tentorial dural arteriovenous fistulae (AVF).

Background: Our study aimed to explore whether hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) levels affected the role of nucleot(s)ide analog treatment (entecavir (ETV) and tenofovir (TDF)) in improving the prognosis of hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients after liver resection.
Methods: A total of 865 HBV-related HCC patients after hepatectomy treated with TDF or ETV were included in our study. Patients were divided into the high HBsAg cohort (n=681) and the low HBsAg cohort (n=184).

Postoperative fever following neuroendoscopic procedures has been well-documented, yet specific differentiation based on the nature and site of the procedure remains lacking. Given the anatomical involvement of the hypothalamus in temperature regulation, we propose that endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV) may have a distinct impact on postoperative fever. This study aims to investigate this phenomenon.

Background: Recent evidence has indicated that the O-glycosylated PreS2 domain of the middle HBsAg is a distinguishing characteristic that allows the identification of HBsAg of HBV Dane particles and SVPs. This study's objective was to assess the changes in serum O-glycosylated HBsAg levels in CHB patients undergoing ETV or Peg-IFNα treatment.
Methods: Our retrospective study enrolled 86 patients with genotype C CHB.
