Real-time alerting systems typically warn providers about abnormal laboratory results or medication interactions. For more complex tasks, institutions create site-wide 'data warehouses' to support quality audits and longitudinal research. Sophisticated systems like i2b2 or Stanford's STRIDE utilize data warehouses to identify cohorts for research and quality monitoring. However, substantial resources are required to install and maintain such systems. For more modest goals, an organization desiring merely to identify patients with 'isolation' orders, or to determine patients' eligibility for clinical trials, may adopt a simpler, limited approach based on processing the output of one clinical system, and not a data warehouse. We describe a limited, order-entry-based, real-time 'pick off' tool, utilizing public domain software (PHP, MySQL). Through a web interface the tool assists users in constructing complex order-related queries and auto-generates corresponding database queries that can be executed at recurring intervals. We describe successful application of the tool for research and quality monitoring.

The soil quality of forest land is directly related to the growth of forest trees and the local ecological environment. This paper proposes an intuitionistic fuzzy linguistic aggregation method for heterogeneous linguistic assessment information, to solve the multi-index assessment problem containing heterogeneous linguistic information. Based on this method, the soil quality of forest land can be evaluated reasonably.

Background: Optimization of localizer radiograph and bolus tracking doses is necessary, as their dose proportion may increase with a decreasing diagnostic scan dose in pediatric cardiothoracic computed tomography (CT).
Objective: To evaluate the radiation dose proportions of the localizer radiograph and bolus tracking in low-dose pediatric cardiothoracic CT.
Materials And Methods: For low-dose pediatric cardiothoracic CT, a posteroanterior localizer radiograph was acquired with 80 kV, and 35 mA or 20 mA in 852 infants (age<1 year).

Purpose: Recovery is a key objective in mental health services for people with severe mental illness (SMI). In addition to clinical and functional recovery, personal recovery has gained increasing attention. The CHIME Framework identifies five personal recovery processes-Connectedness, Hope, Identity, Meaning, Empowerment-and is the theoretical foundation for the Brief INSPIRE, a validated Patient-Rated Experience Measure (PREM) to evaluate recovery support.

Modern ART is evolving, allowing the use of new drug formulations and alternative routes of administration to oral therapy. Long-acting (LA) cabotegravir and rilpivirine, the first fully injectable antiretroviral regimen approved for clinical use, is a test case for this new route of administration, and an innovation with implications for the quality of life of people with HIV (PWH). However, its use requires a reorganization of outpatient clinics and outpatient services, and a number of issues remain to be defined regarding the management of PWH on LA drugs, including the correct selection of people who can be treated with LA cabotegravir and rilpivirine.
