Pseudoaneurysm of the superficial temporal artery is an uncommon complication of a blunt trauma. It usually presents as a pulsating mass in the frontotemporal area a few weeks after the injury. Doppler ultrasonography, angiography, or computed tomographic angiography can aid or confirm the diagnosis. The treatment of choice is the surgical resection of the pseudoaneurysm and ligation of the vessels. We report a case of a pseudoaneurysm of the frontal branch of the superficial temporal artery and review the literature.

The development of the mammalian neocortex is precisely regulated by temporal gene expression, yet the temporal regulatory mechanisms of cortical neurogenesis, particularly how radial glial cells (RGCs) sequentially generate deep to superficial neurons, remain unclear. Here, the hnRNP family member Syncrip (hnRNP Q) is identified as a key modulator of superficial neuronal differentiation in neocortical neurogenesis. Syncrip knockout in RGCs disrupts differentiation and abnormal neuronal localization, ultimately resulting in superficial cortical layer defects as well as learning and memory impairments in mice.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a leading cause of vision loss among adults. This study evaluates Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA) vessel density (VD) as a marker for DR in diabetes mellitus (DM) patients. An observational study was conducted with 47 type 2 DM patients and 21 healthy controls.

Background And Importance: Fusiform middle cerebral artery (MCA) bifurcation aneurysms can be challenging to treat with standard endovascular or microsurgical techniques. The in situ side-to-side bypass technique represents an elegant revascularization option for these aneurysms when trapping becomes necessary.
Clinical Presentation: A man in his 50s presented for evaluation of an incidentally found fusiform, 10 mm, right MCA bifurcation aneurysm with involvement of both the inferior and superior M2 trunks.

The development of new photochromic systems is motivated by the possibility of controlling the properties and functions of materials with high spatial and temporal resolution in a reversible manner. While there are several classes of photoswitches operating in solution, the design of systems efficiently operating in the solid state remains highly challenging, mainly due to limitations related to confinement effects. Triaryl-hydrazones represent a relatively new subclass of bistable hydrazone photoswitches exhibiting efficient / photochromism in solution.

In this study, we reported two patients with clinical pictures compatible with the diagnosis of bilateral Fuchs' superficial marginal keratitis (FSMK) treated with surgical treatment and anti-inflammatory drugs. The cases suffered from bilateral photophopia, blurred vision, and pseudopterygium with normal intraocular pressure (IOP). Pseudopterygia extended from temporal and nasal sides and had a gray line between the corneal normal epithelium with no lipid deposits.
