Given the current state of the U.S. healthcare system, with increasingly complicated regulations and paperwork and decreasing reimbursements, the question arises: Is it possible to provide safe, high-quality healthcare and reduce costs? Furthermore, is it possible to care for the health of your patients while simultaneously caring for the financial health of your practice and promoting improvement in the overall health of the planet? This article will review some steps currently being taken by various companies and hopefully stimulate ideas for changes you may want to consider for your own practice, hospital, or institution.

Background: This project aimed to develop an evidence-based nursing care bundle after gastrostomy feeding tube insertion and implement it into clinical practice using the Knowledge to Action (KTA) framework.

Methods: This mixed-method design project was conducted in a university hospital between December 2021 and June 2022. The project was carried out in four phases: (1) development of an evidence-based care bundle, (2) education for care bundle training, (3) implementation of the care bundle, (4) evaluation of the care bundle.

Introduction: Dietary diversity is the utilization of food and food groups consumed by individuals over 24 h, which is an indicator of a diet's micronutrient adequacy. Dietary management in people with HIV patients is the key to sustaining their day-to-day activities and contributing to their lively hood. The level of dietary diversity among HIV-positive patients in Ethiopia shows considerable variation, ranging from 29 to 71.

Diabetic wounds are characterized by chronic inflammation, reduced angiogenesis, and insufficient collagen deposition, leading to impaired healing. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSC) offer a promising cell-free therapeutic strategy, yet their efficacy and immunomodulation can be enhanced through bioactivation. In this study, we developed calcium silicate (CS)-stimulated ADSC-derived EVs (CSEV) incorporated into collagen hydrogels to create a sustained-release system for promoting diabetic wound healing.

Aquaculture systems generate large amounts of sludge that represent serious environmental threats if discharged directly into local ecosystems. However, this nutrient-rich sediment can contribute to nutrient cycling by being applied as an organic fertilizer to ornamental medicinal trees during their early growth stages. To investigate the potential advantages of using recirculating aquaculture system sludge (RASS) and biofloc technology sludge (BFTS) as organic fertilization alternatives to chemical fertilization, a pot trial was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University, Egypt.

The protection of UCK2 protein stability by GART maintains pyrimidine salvage synthesis for HCC growth under glucose limitation.

Overexpression of uridine-cytidine kinase 2 (UCK2), a key enzyme in the pyrimidine salvage pathway, is implicated in human cancer development, while its regulation under nutrient stress remains to be investigated. Here, we show that under glucose limitation, AMPK phosphorylates glycinamide ribonucleotide formyltransferase (GART) at Ser440, and this modification facilitates its interaction with UCK2. Through its binding to UCK2, GART generates tetrahydrofolate (THF) and thus inhibits the activity of integrin-linked kinase associated phosphatase (ILKAP) for removing AKT1-mediated UCK2-Ser254 phosphorylation under glucose limitation, in which dephosphorylation of UCK2-Ser254 tends to cause Trim21-mediated UCK2 polyubiquitination and degradation.
