Purpose: The p.G12C mutation in KRAS is commonly found in many cancers and was previously untreatable until drugs like sotorasib were developed. However, up to 15% of patients treated with sotorasib have experienced hepatobiliary adverse events.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: Cytolytic vaginosis (CV) is a condition characterized by an increase in lactobacilli in the vaginal flora, causing complaints of discharge, itching, dyspareunia, and dysuria. Since there are no antimicrobials in the treatment protocols of CV, the diagnostic and therapeutic criteria of which were first defined by Cibley, differential diagnosis of CV from other vaginitis agents will prevent unnecessary use of antimicrobials and recurrent com-plaints. In our study, we aimed to determine the frequency of CV in patients presenting with vaginitis complaints and the diagnostic accuracy of the diagnostic criteria.

Background/objectives: Magnesium plays a crucial role in immune function, influencing immunoglobulin synthesis, antibody-dependent cytolysis, and other immune processes. In renal transplant patients, magnesium deficiency is primarily induced by calcineurin inhibitor treatment, through the reduction of magnesium transporter proteins in the renal tubules, leading to magnesium loss.
Methods: To assess the correlation between serum magnesium levels and the long-term outcomes of renal graft and transplant recipients, we conducted a retrospective study on 87 patients who have had a transplant for more than 5 years, a period considered immunologically stable.

Background: In 2019, 4 patients with borderline resectable-pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(BR-PDAC)received neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC)with 3 cycles of gemcitabine plus nab-paclitaxel(GnP)over 12 weeks in combination with intestinal care, and subsequently underwent pancreatectomy. Surprisingly, histological response to NAC was Grade 3(viable tumor cells <10%)in 3 out of 4 patients. Aim/subjects: This study aimed to clarify the histopathological findings common to 3 patients with Grade 3 histological response to NAC.
