α-Glycosyl phosphate derivatives are widely known as constituents of biomolecules. To date, several types of non-natural α-glycosyl phosphates including "P-modified analogs" have been synthesized to investigate their characteristics. Herein a new approach to the stereoselective modification of the intersugar phosphorus atom in α-glycosyl phosphates by use of the oxazaphospholidine method is presented. Via this approach, the dimers of α-glycosyl phosphorothioates and α-glycosyl boranophosphates were obtained efficiently and stereoselectively.

The glucose-6-phosphatase (G6Pase) is an integral membrane protein that catalyzes the hydrolysis of glucose-6-phosphate (G6P) in the endoplasmic reticulum lumen and plays a vital role in glucose homeostasis. Dysregulation or genetic mutations of G6Pase are associated with diabetes and glycogen storage disease 1a (GSD-1a). Studies have characterized the biophysical and biochemical properties of G6Pase; however, the structure and substrate recognition mechanism of G6Pase remain unclear.

Endophytes are bacteria that inhabit host plants for most of their life cycle without causing harm. In the study, 15 endophytic bacteria were isolated from 30 forage Sorghum plants and assessed for various plant growth-promoting (PGP) traits, such as phosphate solubilization, 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) deaminase activity, ammonia production, siderophore production, gibberellic acid production, Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) production, and zinc solubilization. One isolate, JJG_Zn, demonstrated multiple PGP activities and was identified as Enterobacter sp.

Purpose Of Review: This review evaluates recent advancements in Technetium-99 m pyrophosphate (99mTc-PYP) imaging for transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM). We summarize the advantages of single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) over planar imaging, the potential impact of quantitative methods, and emerging data for quantifying response to therapy.
Recent Findings: The current literature demonstrates the superior diagnostic accuracy of SPECT compared with planar imaging in 99mTc-PYP studies.

Introduction: Increasing emphasis has been placed on measurement of quality of life (QOL) as a central criterion for assessment of success of any medical treatment. The aim of our study was to assess the nutritional and quality of life of patient-reported outcomes among patients who have undergone laser resection of tongue cancer.
Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional study was undertaken of patients treated with KTP laser resection of T1/T2 tongue squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) between 2011-2019.

Objective: This study aimed to compare the salivary protein profile in individuals with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM2) and periodontitis and their respective controls.
Methods: Eighty participants were included in the study. The four groups were formed by individuals with DM2 and periodontitis (DM2 + P, n = 20), DM2 without periodontitis (DM2, n = 20), periodontitis without DM2 (P, n = 20) and individuals without periodontitis and without DM2 (H, n = 20).
