Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is characterized by lacking expression of estrogen receptor and progesterone receptor as well as absence of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 overexpression and is an aggressive clinical phenotype.
Patients And Methods: We report the case of a 33-year-old woman who has been treated using a targeted approach for TNBC and developed a malignant melanoma metastasis without any primary.
Results And Conclusion: Using targeted therapies, tumors can be treated much more effectively, but up to now, we do not know much about potential adverse reactions. Due to the targeted therapy, tumors may be pressurized for transformation. We call for further investigations to rule out the potential risks of targeted therapy in TNBC. This is the first report of a potential transforming of one tumor entity to another by a targeted therapy.

Background: This study investigated the impact of posaconazole (POSA) prophylaxis in COVID-19 patients with acute respiratory failure receiving systemic corticosteroids on the risk for the development of COVID-19-associated pulmonary aspergillosis (CAPA).
Methods: The primary aim of this prospective, multicentre, case-control study was to assess whether application of POSA prophylaxis in mechanically ventilated COVID-19 patients reduces the risk for CAPA development. All consecutive patients from centre 1 (cases) who received POSA prophylaxis as standard-of-care were matched to one subject from centre 2 and centre 3 who did not receive any antifungal prophylaxis, using propensity score matching for the following variables: (i) age, (ii) sex, (iii) treatment with tocilizumab and (iv) time at risk.

Introduction: Psoriasis is characterized by aberrant keratinocyte activity and immune cell infiltration, driven by immune-mediated pathways. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play crucial roles in regulating these processes, offering insights into disease mechanisms and therapeutic targets.
Objectives: This study aimed to investigate changes in circulating miRNAs in psoriasis patients undergoing risankizumab therapy, an anti-IL-23 monoclonal antibody, to understand its impact on disease pathogenesis and treatment response.

As the smallest antibody fragment with specific binding affinity, nanobody-based nuclear medicine has demonstrated significant potential to revolutionize the field of precision medicine, supported by burgeoning preclinical investigations and accumulating clinical evidence. However, the visualization of nanobodies has also exposed their suboptimal biodistribution patterns, which has spurred collaborative efforts to refine their pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profiles for improved therapeutic efficacy. In this review, we present clinical results that exemplify the benefits of nanobody-based molecular imaging in cancer diagnosis.

Nucleic acid-based vaccines are leading-edge tools in developing next-generation preventative care. Much research has been done to convert vaccine gene therapy from an invasive to a noninvasive administration approach. The lung's large surface area and permeability make the pulmonary route a promising noninvasive delivery option for vaccines, with systemic and local applications.

Uncontrollable cancer cell growth is characterized by the maintenance of cellular homeostasis through the continuous accumulation of misfolded proteins and damaged organelles. This review delineates the roles of two complementary and synergistic degradation systems, the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) and the autophagy-lysosome system, in the degradation of misfolded proteins and damaged organelles for intracellular recycling. We emphasize the interconnected decision-making processes of degradation systems in maintaining cellular homeostasis, such as the biophysical state of substrates, receptor oligomerization potentials (e.
