Objectives The primary objective of this study is to describe and evaluate the diagnostic performance of the hyperdense right hemidiaphragm sign (HRHS) as a novel radiological indicator for diffuse fatty infiltration of the liver on non-enhanced CT (NECT) scans. This includes assessing its sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value, and comparing these metrics with other established NECT signs. Methods This cross-sectional multicenter retrospective study included all patients over 12 years of age who underwent both abdominal MRI and NECT scans of the abdomen within a period not exceeding six months at two tertiary hospitals (The Royal Hospital and Armed Forces Hospital, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman) between January 2010 and December 2022.

Micro-corrugated chiral nematic cellulose nanocrystal films integrated with ionic conductive hydrogels leads to flexible materials for multidirectional strain sensing applications.

Multidirectional strain sensors are of technological importance for wearable devices and soft robots. Here, we report that flexible materials capable of multidirectional anisotropic strain sensing can be constructed leveraging diffusion-induced infiltration of monomers and in situ polymerization of metal ion-containing double network hydrogels in and on the surface of micro-corrugated chiral nematic cellulose nanocrystal/glucose films. Integrating the micro-corrugated cellulose nanocrystal/glucose chiral nematic films with ionic conductive hydrogels of PAA-co-AAm/sodium alginate/Al endows the materials with multidirectional mechanoelectrical resistivity and mechanochromism anisotropy.

Post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLD) and lymphomas in immunocompromised individuals represent significant clinical challenges, with a limited understanding of their pathogenesis. We investigated a PTLD cohort (n = 50) consisting of 'early lesions' (infectious mononucleosis-like PTLD, plasmacytic and follicular hyperplasias), polymorphic PTLD and post-transplant diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (PT-DLBCL). The study also included 15 DLBCL with autoimmune/immunocompromised backgrounds (IS-DLBCL) and 14 DLBCL, not otherwise specified (DLBCL, NOS), as control.

Background: Ewing sarcoma is an EWSR1-rearranged aggressive malignancy that occurs commonly in bone and has small round blue cell morphology. A diagnostic challenge is presented in the cases of extraskeletal Ewing sarcoma involving solid organs, such as the uterus.

Case Report And Brief Literature Review: We present the case of a 54-year-old female with a large pelvic mass connected to the uterine cornua and retroperitoneal soft tissue.

This report describes a rare case of relapsed multiple myeloma in the gastrointestinal tract with aberrant CD3 expression. Upon admission for acute renal failure, the patient had abnormal computed tomography scan findings of the abdomen and pelvis. Subsequent colonoscopy found numerous polyps and masses.
