The magnetic properties of the mononuclear manganese(III) complex [Mn{(OPPh2)2N}3] are investigated by means of magnetometry and dual-mode X-band electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy. Slow relaxation of magnetization is induced in the presence of external magnetic fields.

The quantum-well-like two-dimensional lead-halide perovskites exhibit strongly confined excitons due to the quantum confinement and reduced dielectric screening effect, which feature intriguing excitonic effects. The ionic nature of the perovskite crystal and the "softness" of the lattice induce the complex lattice dynamics. There are still open questions about how the soft lattices decorate the nature of excitons in these hybrid materials.

We introduce a computational methodology for evaluating and analyzing spin-vibration couplings in molecular systems, enabling insights into the interplay between electronic spins and molecular vibrations. By mapping ab initio electronic structure calculations onto molecular spin Hamiltonians, our approach captures those vibrational interactions potentially driving spin relaxation process. Spin-vibration couplings, derived from Holstein and Peierls terms, highlight the pivotal role of vibrational mode symmetry in spin decoherence and efficient energy dissipation.

Quantum technologies using electron spins have the advantage of employing chemical qubit media with tunable properties. The principal objective of material engineers is to enhance photoexcited spin yields and quantum spin relaxation. In this study, we demonstrate a facile synthetic approach to control spin properties in charge-transfer cocrystals consisting of 1,2,4,5-tetracyanobenzene (TCNB) and acetylated anthracene.

To ameliorate the limitations of corn starch (CS) processing, Radix Paeoniae Alba polysaccharide (RPAP) was used to modulate the physicochemical and digestive properties of CS. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects of RPAP on the pasting, rheological, thermal, structural, and digestive properties of CS. The results show that the addition of RPAP could increase the peak viscosity and final viscosity of CS gel, and RPAP could increase the apparent viscosity, storage modulus, loss modulus, hardness, and strength of CS gel, implying that RPAP can effectively improve the pasting and viscoelasticity properties of CS.
