Genistin, genistein, kaempferol, quercetin and rutin, five kinds of flavonoids in Fructus sophorae, have been analyzed by capillary zone electrophoresis with internal standard calibration. Buffer pH and concentration, applied voltage, β-cyclodextrin and ethanol concentration were optimized and the optimum conditions are: 20 mmol/L borax (pH 9.5) with 8 mmol/L β-cyclodextrin and 5% (v/v) ethanol and at a voltage of 25 kV. The contents of five flavonoids in Fructus Sophorae grown in different area of Dezhou, Shandong Province of China were determined by the developed method and with satisfactory results. The distributions of the studied flavonoids were also investigated.

The dynamic changes in physicochemical properties, microbial communities, and volatile compounds in kombucha made from Flos sophorae (FLSK) and Elm fruit (EFK) were compared to those of black tea (BTK) and green tea (GTK) over a 12-day fermentation period. The results revealed that overall flavonoid and polyphenol content, as well as antioxidant activity, increased initially and then decreased, accompanied by a steady reduction in pH within the fermentation broths investigated. Notably, the GTK exhibited stronger antioxidant activity than the other fermentation broths.

Organophosphate (OP) insecticides have been used to control Grapholita molesta (Busck, 1916) in Brazil since 1990. However, the evolution of pest insecticide resistance and toxicological reassessments has led to the replacement of OPs with other chemical groups. This study evaluated the toxicity of the insecticides abamectin + cyantraniliprole (1.

Flos Sophorae, a traditional Chinese medicinal herb and health tea, consists of the dried flowers and buds of the Sophora japonica L. (Leguminosae). This study assesses the in vitro anticancer efficacy of Flos Sophorae flower extract (FSFE) against the human hepatocarcinoma cell line HepG2, juxtaposed with its effects on normal human liver L02 cells.

Background/objectives: Hormonal alterations during menopause result in substantial physiological changes. Although hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is widely used as a treatment strategy for these changes, its use remains controversial due to its associated risks. Plant isoflavones are phytoestrogens that are considered a potential alternative therapy for postmenopausal syndrome.

Herein, a novel fluorescent/colorimetric dual-signal intelligent detecting platform (F/C-BMIPs) based on ratiometric fluorescence (BA-N-GQDs/rhodamine 6G) and collaborative recognition (borate-MIPs) was developed for on-site visual quantitative detection of rutin (RT) in food samples. Furthermore, the above detection system is transferred to the test strips, and combined with the color recognition ability of smartphones, the portable and user-friendly visualization and quantitative detection of RT (F/C-BMIPs method) is realized. Under optimal conditions, the assay system has a wide linear range of 0.
