Purpose: To describe and evaluate the efficacy and safety of lacrimal sac to conjunctiva reconstructive ostomy for proximal lacrimal system reconstruction.
Methods: This retrospective study included 41 patients (32 cancer and 9 trauma; 36 primary and 5 secondary) who underwent lacrimal sac to conjunctiva reconstructive ostomy. The technique involves creating a direct connection between a surgical opening in the lacrimal sac, which maintains its bony attachments to prevent ostomy occlusion, and the medial conjunctiva (medial fornix, bulbar, and palpebral).
Introduction We aimed to assess whether partial hepatectomy has an influence on conventional and speckle tracking parameters on echocardiography in living liver donors in the early postoperative period. Background: BEST-CLI established the superiority of single-segment great saphenous vein (ssGSV) conduits for revascularization in patients with CLTI; however, the generalizability of these data is unknown. Thus, we aimed to validate the long-term results of open surgical bypass (BPG) versus angioplasty with or without stenting (PTA/S) using the BEST-CLI inclusion and randomization criteria.
Methods: All patients undergoing a first-time lower extremity revascularization for CLTI at our institution from 2005 to 2022 were retrospectively reviewed.

Objective: Superior vena cava syndrome (SVC) is a debilitating disease, and surgical reconstruction has been described with some of the best results using spiral great saphenous vein (SGSV) grafts. SGSV grafts can be difficult to construct, and a long segment of saphenous vein is needed. Femoral vein has been an excellent conduit for infected aortic and peripheral reconstructions in our hands, and we sought to review outcomes using this conduit for SVC reconstruction.
