As life expectancy among patients infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) increases, a growing number of complications have been observed. This population displays an elevated risk of ischemic necrosis of the femoral head in comparison to the general population, which may be attributed to HIV infection, antiretroviral medication use, and hormone application. Patients infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) who also have necrosis of the femoral head tend to present at an earlier age, with a rapid disease progression and a high incidence of bilateral onset.

Background: Vaccine granulomas are a common (0.3-1%) adverse event (AE) of (accidentally) subcutaneously administered vaccines and specific immunotherapies containing aluminum conjugates. Aim: The lungs represent the second most common site of colorectal cancer metastases. Although surgery is commonly considered the best treatment, many other invasive and noninvasive procedures and treatments have been adopted to improve patient survival and there is no clear evidence in the literature of which is the more effective. The aim of this work was to identify which treatment confers the best gain in overall survival for patients with pulmonary metastases from colorectal cancer.
