Objective: To evaluate the postoperative complications and prognosis of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) in a solitary kidney after irreversible electroporation (IRE).
Materials And Methods: A total of 8 patients with 9 RCCs in a solitary kidney treated with computed tomography (CT)-guided IRE from February 2017 to September 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. Follow-up included contrast-enhanced CT or magnetic resonance imaging examinations at 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, and each year after IRE and the evaluation of the incidence of postoperative complications, renal function changes, local tumor recurrence, and metastasis.

Background: Neutropenia frequently presents as a hematological manifestation among people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). This study explores the factors associated with neutropenia in PLWHA and its prognostic significance.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective case-control study of the clinical data from 780 cases of individuals living with HIV/AIDS, who were admitted to Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University over the period from January 2016 to September 2020.

This case report presents a rare instance of a 28-year-old female patient with insulin-induced abdominal lipodystrophy, who presented to the emergency department with symptoms of an anxiety attack triggered by body image distress. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of eight years. For the past 10 years, she has been using insulin glargine and insulin lispro, injecting roughly five times per day.

Recently, Organ-on-a-Chip (OoC) platforms have arisen as an increasingly relevant experimental tool for successfully replicating human physiology and disease. However, there is a lack of a standard technology to monitor the OoC parameters, especially in a non-invasive and label-free way. Photoacoustic (PA) systems can be considered an alternative and accurate assessment method for OoC platforms.
