The Janus kinase-signal transducer and activator of transcription (JAK-STAT) signalling pathway is a key player in animal development and physiology. Although it functions in a variety of processes, the net output of JAK-STAT signalling depends on its spatiotemporal activation, as well as extensive crosstalk with other signalling pathways. Drosophila, with its relatively simple signal transduction pathways and plethora of genetic analysis tools, is an ideal system for dissecting JAK-STAT signalling interactions.

Background: What kinds of fetal adverse outcomes beyond stillbirth directly correlate to the severity of intrahepatic cholestasis during pregnancy (ICP) remained tangled. Herein, we conducted a retrospective cohort study and a dose-response meta-analysis to speculate the association between the severity of ICP and its adverse outcomes.
Methods: We retrospectively collected a cohort of ICP patients from electronic records from Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center between Jan 1st, 2018, and Dec 31st, 2022.

Food webs depict the tangled web of trophic interactions associated with the functioning of an ecosystem. Understanding the mechanisms providing stability to these food webs is therefore vital for conservation efforts and the management of natural systems. Here, we first characterised a tropical stream meta-food web and five individual food webs using a Bayesian Hierarchical approach unifying three sources of information (gut content analysis, literature compilation and stable isotope data).
