Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a common type of tumor worldwide. The development of systemic treatment of advanced HCC has remained stagnant for a considerable period. During the last years, a series of new treatment regimens based on the combination of immunotherapeutic drugs and targeted drugs have been gradually developed, increased the objective response rate (ORR), overall survival (OS), and progression free survival (PFS) of HCC patients.

This article is focused on the development and characterization of a series of biodegradable and eco-friendly colour masterbatches (MBs), based on natural pigments and biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA) and polybutylene succinate (PBS). Four commercial natural pigments were used, spirulina, curcumin, beetroot and chlorophyllin, to develop the colour masterbatches using a twin-screw extruder. The natural pigment-based MBs were added at 2, 4 and 6 wt%, as additives to study the effect on the properties of injected biodegradable parts (PLA and PBS).

Human papillomavirus (HPV)-positive Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinomas (HNSCC) comprise a particular cancer entity traditionally associated with better clinical outcomes. Around 25% of HNSCC are HPV positive, HPV16 being the most prevalent type. Nevertheless, close to 30% of the HPV-positive patients have an unfavorable prognosis, revealing that this type of tumor exhibits great heterogeneity leading to different clinical behaviors.

This paper presents the design and evaluation of an engagement-free and contactless vital signs and occupancy monitoring system called BedDot. While many existing works demonstrated contactless vital signs estimation, they do not address the practical challenge of environment noises, online bed occupancy detection and data quality assessment in the realworld environment. This work presents a robust signal quality assessment algorithm consisting of three parts: bed occupancy detection, movement detection, and heartbeat detection, to identify high-quality data.

Thermophoresis, or thermodiffusion, is becoming a more popular method for investigating the interactions between proteins and ligands due to its high sensitivity to the interactions between solutes and water. Despite its growing use, the intricate mechanisms behind thermodiffusion remain unclear. This gap in knowledge stems from the complexities of thermodiffusion in solvents that have specific interactions as well as the intricate nature of systems that include many components with both non-ionic and ionic groups.
