Background: Diffusion-weighted (DW) turbo-spin-echo (TSE) imaging offers improved geometric fidelity compared to single-shot echo-planar-imaging (EPI). However, it suffers from low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and prolonged acquisition times, thereby restricting its applications in diagnosis and MRI-guided radiotherapy (MRgRT).

Purpose: To develop a joint k-b space reconstruction algorithm for concurrent reconstruction of DW-TSE images and the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) map with enhanced image quality and more accurate quantitative measurements.

Background: Patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) experience difficulties in understanding speech in noise despite having normal hearing.

Aim: This study aimed to determine the relationship between speech discrimination in noise (SDN) and medial olivocochlear reflex levels and to compare MS patients with a control group.

Material And Methods: Sixty participants with normal hearing, comprising 30 MS patients and 30 healthy controls, were included.

Background: The effect of background noise on auscultation accuracy for different lung sound classes under standardised conditions, especially at lower to medium levels, remains largely unexplored. This article aims to evaluate the impact of three levels of Gaussian white noise (GWN) on the ability to identify three classes of lung sounds.

Methods And Materials: A pre-post pilot study assessing the impact of GWN on a group of students' ability to identify lung sounds was conducted.

Vanin-1 is a pantetheine hydrolase that plays a key role in inflammatory diseases. Effective tools for noninvasive, real-time monitoring of Vanin-1 are lacking, largely due to background fluorescence interference in existing probes. To address this issue, we developed a dual-modal fluorescent and colorimetric probe, MB-Van1, to detect Vanin-1 with high sensitivity and selectivity.

Objectives: Our study aimed to compare signal characteristics of subdural electrodes (SDE) and depth stereo EEG placed within a 5-mm vicinity in patients with drug-resistant epilepsy. We report how electrode design and placement collectively affect signal content from a shared source between these electrode types.

Methods: In subjects undergoing invasive intracranial EEG evaluation at a surgical epilepsy center from 2012 to 2018, stereo EEG and SDE electrode contacts placed within a 5-mm vicinity were identified.
