Cardiac luxation is a rare but potentially fatal consequence of blunt thoracic trauma. We present a case of a pericardial tear with cardiac luxation following blunt chest trauma. It is hypothesised that the cardiac luxation occurred while log rolling the patient during the initial assessment.
