: In this study we analyzed the perceived effectiveness of cannabidiol (CBD) in adult women with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). : We conducted an online cross-sectional survey which assessed disease severity and quality of life (QOL) in women with IBD (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis) who used CBD versus those who did not. The survey included: the Harvey-Bradshaw Index, Partial Mayo Score, Short Inflammatory Bowel Disease Questionnaire, Bristol Stool Scale, and the Prime Screen Short Food Frequency Questionnaire.

Salt marshes are known as key ecosystems for nature-based climate mitigation through organic carbon sequestration into their sediment beds, but at the same time they are affected by accelerating sea level rise induced by climate warming. Consequently, an important question is how organic carbon accumulation rates (OCAR) of salt marshes will respond to future accelerating rates of relative sea level rise (RSLR). To date, existing insights are either based on (1) comparison of geographically distant marsh sites, differing in local RSLR rates but also in other environmental conditions that additionally can affect OCAR, or (2) experiments in given marsh sites, in which proxies for RSLR are manipulated, but run over periods of years instead of decades, the latter being the relevant time scale of marsh responses to RSLR.

Background: The relationship between the extent and severity of stress-induced ischemia and the extent and severity of anatomic coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients with obstructive CAD is multifactorial and includes the intensity of stress achieved, type of testing used, presence and extent of prior infarction, collateral blood flow, plaque characteristics, microvascular disease, coronary vasomotor tone, and genetic factors. Among chronic coronary disease participants with site-determined moderate or severe ischemia, we investigated associations between ischemia severity on stress testing and the extent of CAD on coronary computed tomography angiography.
Methods: Clinically indicated stress testing included nuclear imaging, echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, or nonimaging exercise tolerance test.

Background: Plantar Heel Pain (PHP) can be a debilitating musculoskeletal condition from which only 50% recover within a year due to poor understanding of the mechanisms explaining severity and predicting outcomes specific to PHP.
Objective: To explore associations between biopsychosocial variables and the severity of people with PHP. Secondly, to determine what combination of self-reported factors distinguishes people with PHP from other foot pain (OFP).

Background: A 2017 survey of patient perspectives showed overall willingness and comfort to use telemedicine, but low actual use. Given recent growth and widespread exposure of patients to telemedicine, patient preferences are likely to have changed.
Objective: This study aimed to (1) identify demographic trends in patient preferences and experiences; (2) measure ease of use and satisfaction of telemedicine; and (3) measure changes in telemedicine use, willingness, and comfort since 2017.
