Electrophysiological recording provides important evidence for positive identification of many neurons in gastropods. We describe a technique which combines intracellular recording and injection of a persistent, non-fluorescent dye (Fast Green) with subsequent histofluorescence treatment using a modification of the wholemount glyoxylic acid procedure developed by Barber (1983) to establish the presence or absence of monoamine transmitters in positively identified single gastropod neurons.

Background: Up to 23% of breast cancer patients recurred within a decade after trastuzumab treatment. Conversely, one trial found that patients with low HER2 expression and metastatic breast cancer had a positive response to trastuzumab-deruxtecan (T-Dxd). This indicates that relying solely on HER2 as a single diagnostic marker to predict the efficacy of anti-HER2 drugs is insufficient.

: To assess the anticancer effect of microbubbles (MBs) in combination with sinoporphyrin sodium (DVDMS)-mediated sonodynamic therapy (SDT) for the in vitro and in vivo treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). : HepG2 cells were used for in vitro experiments. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) production was detected using 2',7'-dichlorodihydrofluorescein diacetate and singlet oxygen sensor green in vitro and in solution, respectively.

Zebrafish and medaka are valuable model vertebrates for genetic studies. The advent of CRISPR-Cas9 technology has greatly enhanced our capability to produce specific gene mutants in zebrafish and medaka. Analyzing the phenotypes of these mutants is essential for elucidating gene function, though such analyses often yield unexpected results.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: The Bu Shen Yi Sui capsule (BSYS), a modified version of the classical Chinese medicine formula Liu Wei Di Huang pill, has demonstrated therapeutic efficacy in the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS). Nevertheless, the precise mechanism through which BSYS facilitates remyelination remains to be elucidated.
Aim Of The Study: This research investigates the role and potential mechanisms of BSYS-modified exosomes (exos) derived from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) in promoting remyelination in a cuprizone (CPZ)-induced demyelination model in mice.

Three stable oxidovanadium(IV) [VOL] complexes (1-3) were synthesized through the incorporation of unsymmetrical salen ligands (HL). All the ligands are synthesized, and their vanadium compounds were thoroughly characterized by CHNS analysis, various spectroscopy methods (IR, UV-Vis, NMR spectroscopy), and HR-ESI-MS. The structures of 1-3 were validated through the single-crystal X-ray analysis.
