The Waitemata Hypertension Clinic Database 2009-2012 (Auckland, New Zealand) was searched for patients meeting the definition of Malignant Hypertension. Eighteen of 565 patients met the criteria. All patients had essential hypertension which was either undiagnosed, untreated or undertreated. Most cases responded satisfactorily to standard drug therapy, but a number were left with significant chronic kidney disease. Malignant hypertension is a life-threatening disease which should be entirely preventable with regular blood pressure checks in primary care.

A critical clinical consideration, in addition to other common risk factors predisposing individuals to idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH), involves the potential co-occurrence of increased intracranial pressure and elevated cerebrospinal fluid protein levels in the presence of underlying malignancies. Primary diffuse leptomeningeal melanomatosis, an exceptionally rare condition with few reported cases in the pediatric population, illustrates this scenario. Timely decision-making based on clinical suspicion to perform a biopsy and involving a skilled pathologist for accurate reporting are essential steps toward achieving a definitive diagnosis.

Prostate cancer is epithelial malignant prostate hyperplasia caused by a tumor. We found prostate cancer GSE141551 and GSE200879 profiles from gene expression omnibus database, followed by differentially expressed genes (DEGs) analysis, weighted gene co-expression network analysis, protein-protein interaction analysis, gene function enrichment analysis, and comparative toxicology database analysis. Finally, the gene expression heat map was drawn, and miRNA information regulating core DEGs was retrieved.
