Published: November 2013

Objectives: To assess the feasibility of using a novel ultrasensitive bright-field in situ hybridization approach (BRISH) to evaluate κ and λ immunoglobulin messenger RNA (mRNA) expression in situ in B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL).

Methods: A series of 110 semiconsecutive clinical cases evaluated for lymphoma with historic flow cytometric (FCM) results were assessed with BRISH.

Results: BRISH light chain restriction (LCR) results were concordant with FCM in 108 (99%) of 109 evaluable cases. Additional small B-cell lymphoma cohorts were successfully evaluated.

Conclusions: BRISH analysis of κ and λ immunoglobulin mRNA expression is a sensitive tool for establishing LCR in B-cell NHL when FCM results are not available.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs), covalently closed single-stranded RNAs, have been implicated in cancer progression. A previous investigation revealed that circ-ZEB1 is expressed abnormally in liver cancer. However, the roles of circ-ZEB1 in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are unknown.

Metastasis of alveolar soft part sarcoma (ASPS) to the adrenal gland is infrequent, with only eight patients reported in the literature. Here we present an ASPS in an adolescent girl presented as a hypervascular adrenal incidentaloma along with a review of the available literature. This study aims to serve as a reference to aid in the pre-operative radiological and histopathological diagnosis of this rare entity.

In this research, S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts are prepared through the hybridization of nitrogen-rich g-CN with TiO (coded as TCN-(): as the weight ratio of TiO:g-CN). The photocatalytic potential of TCN-() is evaluated against benzene (1-5 ppm) across varying humidity levels using a dynamic flow packed-bed photocatalytic reactor. Among the prepared composites, TCN-(10) exhibits the highest synergy between g-CN and TiO at "" ratio of 10%, showing superior best benzene degradation performance (e.

Aims: Circular RNA forkhead box O3 (circFOXO3) is crucial in regulating inflammation in lung and heart injuries. However, its role in periodontitis remains unclear. We sought to elucidate the effects of circFOXO3 on periodontitis progression and related molecular mechanisms.
