Aim: To specify interest and indications of the transconjunctival approach in lower-eyelid plastic surgery.
Materials And Methods: Twenty-three cases of inferior blepharoplasty performed through a transconjunctival approach are reported. The authors describe the surgical technique, its indications and results.
Results: The transconjunctival approach provides excellent access to the inferior fatty chambers and is cutaneous scar free. It has a lower complication rate than the classic transcutaneous approach, and no case of cyclid retraction has been reported.
Conclusion: In our 'cosmetic society', the inferior blepharoplasty through a transconjunctival approach has taken a significant place in the armamentarium of the esthetic surgeon. Juvenile palpebral lipoptosis without skin excess constitutes the best indication for this technique. It is also indicated in secondary blepharoplasty and in patients presenting with a cicatricial risk or with orbital septum distention.

The facial approach remains a challenge in maxillectomy and reconstruction. Various surgical approaches have been developed to improve cosmetic outcomes. The authors herein present a novel approach for endoscopic-assisted maxillectomy with minimal facial incision and endoscopic-assisted vascularized fibular osteomyocutaneous flap (VFOF) reconstruction.

Background Transconjunctival blepharoplasty using the postseptal technique provides direct access to orbital fat, offering reduced risk of complications, such as ectropion, entropion, fat over-resection, and inferior oblique muscle palsy. This study aims to evaluate the clinical outcomes and safety of transconjunctival blepharoplasty using the postseptal technique, focusing on the incidence of postoperative complications, the recovery time, and the feasibility of combining ancillary procedures with this approach. Methods In this retrospective observational study, we analyzed the outcomes of 88 patients who underwent transconjunctival postseptal blepharoplasty at a private hospital in northern India between July 2022 and January 2024.

Purpose: We hypothesize that lower blepharoplasty post-operative granuloma formation increased during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Observations: Retrospective consecutive case series of first-time lower blepharoplasties performed at an academic private practice. Odds ratios of post-operative granuloma formation before and after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic were analyzed using a logistic regression model controlling for age, gender, and surgical approach.
