The increasingly concerning issue of water pollution caused by untreated leachate necessitates the implementation of effective wastewater treatment methods. This study addresses the crucial issue of landfill leachate treatment through an innovative and environmentally friendly approach that integrates electrolysis with palm-shell activated carbon contactors. The efficacy of an integrated process for pollutants removal was assessed involving electrolysis with aluminum and iron electrodes, activated carbon contactors with varying bed depths, and the influence of salinity.

Therapeutic monoclonal antibody (mAb) drug products are increasingly used to treat both chronic and acute diseases. These mAb drug products are often developed for subcutaneous (SC) injection to simplify dosing compared with intravenous (IV) infusion. For SC injection, the mAb liquid drug product is typically filled in a vial for use with a syringe or in a prefilled syringe, which can then be assembled into a safety syringe device or an autoinjector for direct administration.

Background: There are limited and controversial findings concerning ovulation induction using intrauterine and intramuscular human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) injection compared to intramuscular hCG alone. The study aimed to examine the impact of intrauterine hCG injection, which is used to induce ovulation, on the efficacy of the intrauterine insemination (IUI) technique in patients with unexplained infertility.
Methods: A randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted involving 80 subjects with unexplained primary infertility at the infertility clinic of Al-Zahra Hospital in northwest Iran.

Background: Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) is an infectious parasitic disease caused by the species Leishmania (Leishmania) infantum in the Mediterranean Basin, the Middle East, Central Asia, South America, and Central America, and Leishmania (Leishmania) donovani in Asia and Africa. VL represents the most severe and systemic form of the disease and is fatal if left untreated. Vaccines based on chimeric or multiepitope antigens hold significant potential to induce a highly effective and long-lasting immune response against infections by these parasites.

Objectives: Caries is a significant public health challenge. Herein, novel tooth-targeting antimicrobial peptides (HABPs@AMPs) were developed by combining the antimicrobial peptide DJK-5 with hydroxyapatite (HA) binding peptides, providing a potential new strategy for caries management.
Materials And Methods: The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimal biofilm inhibitory concentration (MBIC) values of HABPs@AMPs were determined via micro-broth dilution and crystal violet staining.
