Background And Purpose: infections in India have shifted, with an increase in the incidence rate of invasive candidiasis, particularly due to non- species. The central nervous system infections by are sparsely reported and more understanding and research is needed regarding these infections.
Case Report: This study reported an unusual case of meningitis in a middle-aged female with pulmonary tuberculosis and newly diagnosed acquired immunodeficiency syndrome with a low cluster of differentiation 4 count (12 cells/mm).

Understanding the impact of different Candida species on patient outcomes is crucial for effective management and treatment strategies. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the association between Candida species and mortality in documented candidemia. We queried TriNetX, a global research network database, to identify patients diagnosed with candidemia through polymerase chain reaction from 2020 to 2023.

Unlabelled: The SPFH (stomatin, prohibitin, flotillin, and HflK/HflC) protein superfamily is conserved across all domains of life. Fungal SPFH proteins are required for respiration, stress adaptation, and membrane scaffolding. In the yeast , stomatin-like protein 3 (Slp3) forms punctate foci at the plasma membrane, and overexpression causes cell death following exposure to the surfactant, SDS, and the oxidative stressor, HO.

Background: Some pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines were significantly elevated in patients with candidemia patients, but no studies have included these cytokines in the analysis of risk factors for mortality of candidemia. This study aims to analyze the risk factors of short-term mortality of candidemia and the predictive value of serum cytokines.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed and compared the clinical features, risk factors and cytokine interleukin (IL)-6, interferon-γ (IFN-γ), IL-10 and IL-17 between survival group and death group in 53 patients with candidemia.

Background: Rezafungin is an echinocandin approved in the US and EU to treat candidaemia and/or invasive candidiasis. This post-hoc, pooled analysis of the Phase 2 STRIVE and Phase 3 ReSTORE trials assessed rezafungin versus caspofungin in patients with candidaemia and/or invasive candidiasis (IC) in the intensive care unit (ICU) at randomisation.
Methods: STRIVE and ReSTORE were randomised double-blind trials in adults with systemic signs and mycological confirmation of candidaemia and/or IC in blood or a normally sterile site ≤ 96 h before randomisation.
