The main purpose of this study was to develop a method that can optimize the algorithm for puncture point calculation, and therefore improve the accuracy of X-ray guided breast biopsy. The proposed method is: first, select two guiding points; then, use the guiding points to construct X-ray cone-beams, so the joining section of the cone-beams can be used to determine the puncture target point. The method was verified by a phantom emulation, in which the calculated target-points were all found within the central part of the target lesion, and far away from the boarder of the lesion (change the x-ray tube angle by 15° would only cause a slight deviation no more than 1.4 mm), the accuracy is enough to fulfill the needs of biopsy operation. This study also found out that, the shorter the distance between the guiding point and the center of the lesion's project, the nearer the calculated biopsy-point will be to the actual lesion center.

Palmoplantar hyperhidrosis is a functional disease with an unknown pathogenesis, making it challenging to find a lasting and effective treatment. This article reports a case of a 43-year-old patient with palmoplantar hyperhidrosis treated with computed tomography (CT)-guided radiofrequency neurotomy (RFN) of bilateral T3-4 sympathetic chain combined with bilateral L3 sympathetic ganglion. The optimal puncture level and skin entry point were selected, and measurements were taken using a CT tool to determine needle depth, angle, and distance from the midline.

Traditional wound closure methods often present several issues, including additional puncture wounds, adverse effects from anesthesia, and noticeable scarring. Inspired by embryonic wound healing, a Janus hydrogel (PG/Au-Asp@PCM) is designed to manipulate non-invasive wound closure by photothermal-responsive self-contraction of PG/Au-Asp@PCM, which is attributed to the shape memory behavior of PG/Au-Asp@PCM under near-infrared (NIR). Wherein, gelatin acts as a thermally reversible "switch" and polyacrylamide creates stable and cross-linked "net-points".

Background: Percutaneous puncture procedures, guided by image-guided robotic-assisted intervention (IGRI) systems, are susceptible to disruptions in patients' respiratory rhythm due to factors such as pain and psychological distress.
Methods: We developed an IGRI system with a coded structured light camera and a binocular camera. Our system incorporates dual-pathway deep learning networks, combining convolutional long short-term memory (ConvLSTM) and point long short-term memory (PointLSTM) modules for real-time respiratory signal monitoring.

Objective: To explore clinical effect of percutaneous endoscopic posterolateral trans-facet lumbar interbody fusion (PE-PTLIF) in treating degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis.
Methods: The data of 38 patients with degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis treated with PE-PTLIF from December 2019 to June 2021 were retrospectively analyzed, including 18 males and 20 females, aged from 39 to 75 years old with an average of (60.2±8.

Objective: To assess the accuracy of a flash glucose monitoring system (FGMS; FreeStyle Libre 2) in healthy dogs during isoflurane general anesthesia.
Methods: 6 purpose-bred Beagle dogs underwent 3 anesthetic events, 1 week apart, in a randomized crossover study. 1 of 3 mean arterial blood pressure (MAP) states were induced under isoflurane anesthesia (hypotension [MAP, ≤ 60 mm Hg], normotension [MAP, 80 to 120 mm Hg], and hypertension [MAP, ≥ 120 mm Hg]) for 40 minutes.
