In the title compound, C12H16FNO3, the dioxane ring adopts a chair conformation with the methyl groups and amine N atom in equatorial positions. The best plane through the dioxane ring makes a dihedral angle of 43.16 (8)° with the phenyl ring. In the crystal, pairs of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into centrosymmetric R 2 (2)(8) dimers, which are linked into [100] chains by further C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The N-H group does not participate in hydrogen bonding.

The common milkweed is widespread in North America and produces cardenolide toxins that deter herbivores by targeting the transmembrane enzyme Na/K-ATPase. In 1979, Nobel Laureate Tadeus Reichstein elucidated the structure of novel cardenolides isolated from roots and proposed structures for several other cardenolides that could not be confirmed. In this study, we investigate the cardenolide composition of seeds, focusing on their abundance and inhibitory potency on the sensitive porcine Na/K-ATPase and that of the highly resistant large milkweed bug, .

The synthesis of an anionic [Ge,N]-bidentate ligand based on the combination of an amidopyridinato group with an anionic germolide ring is reported. The potential of the germolide part of this ligand to switch between η-( Ge) and η-( CGe) coordination modes makes this ligand an interesting synthetic target. Salt metathesis reactions of the potassium salt of this ligand with GeCl dioxane and SnCl allow the synthesis of bis-germolyl-substituted germylenes and stannylenes with the tetrel atoms in a distorted square pyramidal coordination environment.

Copolymerization stands as a versatile and potent method for tailoring polymer properties by adjusting structural unit composition and sequence distribution. However, achieving sequence-controlled copolymerization in a one-step and one-pot process remains challenging. This study introduces a solvent-dependent sequence-controlled copolymerization strategy to produce block and statistical copolyesters from 4-phenyl-2-oxabicyclo[2.

The design of biocompatible and biodegradable nanostructures with controlled morphological features remains a predominant challenge in medical research. Stimuli-responsive vesicles offer significant advantages in drug delivery, biomedical applications, and diagnostic techniques. The combination of poly(2-oxazoline)s with biodegradable polymers could provide exceptional biocompatibility properties and be proposed as a versatile platform for the development of new medicines.

Fifteen stilbenoid derivatives, including five previously undescribed ones (albaphenols A-E, -) with diverse scaffolds, were obtained from the well-known agricultural economic tree . Their structures, including absolute stereochemistries, were fully characterized by detailed interpretation of spectroscopic data and quantum chemical computational analyses of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and electric circular dichroism (ECD). Albaphenol A () features an unprecedented rearranged carbon skeleton incorporating a novel 2-oxaspiro[bicyclo[3.
