Home-leaving is considered an important marker of the transition to adulthood and is usually framed as an individual decision. We move beyond this limited assumption to examine a broader conceptualization that might better illuminate home-leaving among youth in impoverished circumstances. We adopt the Problem Behavior Theory-framework to investigate the association of home-leaving with behavioral and psychosocial variables and with other transitions. We use data on adolescents aged 14-22 years from a three-wave study conducted between 2007 and 2010. We used variable- and person-centered cross-sectional analyses, as well as predictive analysis of home-leaving by subsequent waves. Parental controls protection predicted home-leaving by subsequent waves. Overall, protective factors moderated the association of problem behavior involvement with leaving home in Nairobi's slums.

Research Objective: Early adulthood students are at the peak of their rapid psychological development and face an important transition from "mere cognition" to "social cognition" and experiences or guidance during this period are particularly important for psychological quality. From a positive psychology perspective, this study examines the impact of art and design competencies in college students on their positive psychological qualities and analyzes the mediating roles of teacher support and learning adaptability.
Methods: Using the Art and Design Competencies Scale for College Students, the Chinese College Students' Positive Psychological Qualities Scale, the Learning Adaptability Scale, and the Teacher Support Scale, a survey was conducted among 950 college students majoring in art.

: Transitional attachment objects, such as blankets, play a critical role in childhood by helping children manage separation anxiety and regulate emotions. Although attachment to these objects often decreases as children grow older, it may persist into adulthood and influence emotion regulation and stress responses. The aim of the present study was to assess sleep timing in at different ages, within the setting of an enforced schedule of varying light-dark stimuli, simulating light exposure variations between four typical office and one spent outside by a human, for a total of 30 days.
