Interparietal hernias are rare and occur most commonly in the long-term postoperative setting following abdominopelvic surgery. This case report describes the development of a strangulated interparietal hernia through a defect in the posterior rectus sheath 4 days post-lower segment caesarean section (LSCS) in a 36-year-old female. Whilst she had an acute abdomen, she did not have a palpable incisional hernia.

Purpose: This retrospective study aims to describe morphological and therapeutic peculiarities of the suprapubic incisional hernia (SIH) encountered after a Joël-Cohen laparotomy.
Patients And Method: Serie-report: 9 patients had an SIH, 2 were sub-umbilical and did not concern the suprapubic scar, 3 were central, 2 on the whole length of the suprapubic scar, and 2 were bilateral in one case associated to a sub-umbilical incisional hernia.
Results: SIH were wide openings, with a hernial fascia constituted from the anterior fascia, without connexion with the parietal peritoneum, in a sub-umbilical position above the suprapubic scar, or through the suprapubic scar.

Scars composed of fibrous connective tissues are natural consequences of injury upon incisional wound healing in soft tissues. Hydrogels that feature a sustained presentation of immunomodulatory cytokines are known to modulate wound healing. However, existing immunomodulatory hydrogels lack interconnected micropores to promote cell ingrowth.

Omental herniation, located between the rectus abdominis muscle and the anterior blade of the rectus sheath, can be triggered after a transverse suprapubic incision. It causes the development of an incisional interstitial hernia (IIH), which is an extremely rare and poorly understood condition. Based on this information, our work presents the first anatomical description of incisional interstitial hernia found during routine dissection at the Human Anatomy Laboratory of the Federal University of Ceará in a formalized female corpse.

BM infiltration of lymphoma was observed in 18 patients (60.0%), including five patients with the intrasinusoidal pattern with minimal extravasation, eight patients with the mixed of intrasinusoidal and scattered/interstitial or nodular infiltration, and five patients with the nodular/diffuse pattern.
