From extraction experiments and γ-activity measurements, the exchange extraction constants corresponding to the general equilibrium M+ (aq) + 1•Na+ (nb) <-> 1•M+ (nb) + Na+ (aq) taking place in the two-phase water-nitrobenzene system (M+ = Li+, H+, NH+4, Ag+, K+, Rb+, Tl+, Cs+; 1 = dibenzo-21-crown-7; aq = aqueous phase, nb = nitrobenzene phase) were evaluated. Furthermore, the stability constants of the 1•M+ complexes in water - saturated nitrobenzene were calculated; they were found to increase in the series of H+ < Ag+ < Li+ < Cs+ < K+, Rb+ < NH+4 < Tl+.

Biocrusts are the primary organic carbon reservoirs in desert areas, in which inorganic clays potentially playing significant roles; however, the specific details of these roles remain largely unclear. In this study, typical 1:1 type (kaolin) and 2:1 type (montmorillonite, MMT) clay minerals were added to artificial biocrusts to investigate their effect on the acquisition performance of soil organic carbon (SOC). Dipole molecules (DMs) show great potential in defect passivation for printable mesoscopic perovskite solar cells (p-MPSCs), although the crystallization process of p-MPSCs is more intricate and challenging than planar perovskite solar cells. In this work, a series of non-volatile multifunctional DMs are employed as additives to enhance the crystallization of perovskites and improve both the power conversion efficiency (PCE) and stability of the devices. This enhancement is achieved by regulating the side groups of benzoic acid molecules with the electron-donating groups such as guanidine (─NH─C(═NH)─NH), amino (─NH) and formamidine (─C(═NH)─NH).
