Splenic steal syndrome (SSS) post liver transplant is a potential cause of graft dysfunction in the setting of peripheral hepatic arterial bed resistance and redirection of blood flow to a dominant splenic artery resulting in reduction of hepatic arterial inflow. We report utilization of balloon occlusion of the proximal splenic artery as an objective measure to confirm the diagnosis of SSS in a patient with orthotopic liver transplant followed by successful treatment with proximal splenic artery embolization using Gelfoam and Amplatzer vascular plug. Written informed consent for the publication of this case report was obtained from the patient.

Introduction: Establishing an optimized regenerative microenvironment for pulp-dentin complex engineering has become increasingly critical. Recently, exosomes have emerged as favorable biomimetic nanotherapeutic tools to simulate the developmental microenvironment and facilitate tissue regeneration.
Objectives: This study aimed to elucidate the multifaceted roles of exosomes from human dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) that initiated odontogenic differentiation while sustaining mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) characteristics in odontogenesis, angiogenesis, and neurogenesis during pulp-dentin complex regeneration.

As a blood flow control technique for embolization using glue (n-butyl cyanoacrylate; NBCA) for peripheral artery aneurysm/pseudoaneurysm, we placed a vascular plug or coils at the proximal inflow vessel before glue injection. We describe this maneuver, which we call the glue in lockdown technique. Four peripheral aneurysms-two pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysms, one pancreaticoduodenal arcade pseudoaneurysm, and one internal iliac artery aneurysm-deemed unsuitable for conventional embolization because of abnormal blood flow, coagulopathy, or anatomical complexity were embolized with our technique.

Background: Mitral annular calcification (MAC) is characterized by severe calcification of mitral annulus and might be associated with both mitral regurgitation and stenosis. It is technically challenging for both surgical and percutaneous approach and is burdened by high mortality.
Case Summary: The present case report describes a complex case of mitral steno-insufficiency (baseline transvalvular gradient = 5 mmHg, effective regurgitant orifice area 0.
