Background: Post bariatric hypoglycaemic (PBH) is a late complication of weight loss surgery, characterised by critically low blood glucose levels following meal-induced glycaemic excursions. The disabling consequences of PBH underline the need for the development of a decision support system (DSS) that can warn individuals about upcoming PBH events, thus enabling preventive actions to avoid impending episodes. In view of this, we developed various algorithms based on linear and deep learning models to forecast PBH episodes in the short-term.

Objective: Peripheral intravenous catheter (PIVC) failure occurs in approximately 50% of insertions. Unexpected PIVC failure leads to treatment delays, longer hospitalizations, and increased risk of patient harm. In current practice there is no method to predict if PIVC failure will occur until it is too late and a grossly obvious complication has occurred.

Introduction: Acetabular fracture fixation principles stated by Letournel and Judet have contributed significantly towards advancement in treatment methodologies. Current day techniques helps to achieve anatomical reduction, still post-traumatic arthritis ensues in some patients. A meta-analysis by Giannoudis et al.

Continuous monitoring on the general ward leads to more and earlier interventions to prevent clinical deterioration. These clinical actions influence outcomes and may serve as an indicator of impending deterioration. This study aims to correlate clinical actions with clinical endpoints and deviating vital signs.

Understanding the dynamic response of granular shear zones under cyclic loading is fundamental to elucidating the mechanisms triggering earthquake-induced landslides, with implications for broader fields such as seismology and granular physics. Existing prediction methods struggle to accurately predict many experimental and in situ landslide observations due to inadequate consideration of the underlying physical mechanisms. The mechanisms that influence landslide dynamic triggering, a transition from static (or extremely slow creeping) to rapid runout, remain elusive.
