Q-switched 1064 nm neodymium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet (Qs 1064 nm Nd: YAG) laser plays an important role in the treatment of pigmentary skin disorders, including tattoos. Although it has high efficacy and safety, adverse effect like hypopigmentation may occur causing anxiety to patients. We present a case report of Qs 1064 nm Nd: YAG laser induced hypopigmentation which was successfully treated with ultraviolet B targeted phototherapy, with rapid and satisfactory re-pigmentation.

Unlabelled: This study aimed to evaluate gold nanoparticles (GNPs) and photobiomodulation (PBM), associated with antibothropic serum (AS), to treat a muscle lesion induced by Bothrops jararaca venom.
Methods: 108 Swiss male mice were used, divided into nine groups (n = 12) with different combinations of treatments. Animals were inoculated with 250 µg of B.

Endovenous surgery in the treatment of varicose veins generally consists of laser or radiofrequency ablation (RFA) as endovenous thermal ablation (ETA) with a phlebectomy or foam sclerotherapy of tributary varicose veins to improve symptomatic or cosmetic problems. Nevertheless, the efficacy of their concomitant treatments is still controversial for a decade. In the guidelines of the Japanese Society of Phlebology, concomitant phlebectomy of tributary varicose veins with ETA is described that it is not recommended officially.

Cisplatin (CP) is a first-line platinum-based drug used for the treatment of head and neck cancer. However, tumor cells can diminish the therapeutic effects of CP through the detoxification system mediated by glutathione (GSH) and the nucleotide excision repair (NER) pathway. Herein, we present a light-activable and pH-responsive oxidative stress nanoamplifier (FPLC@IR OSNA), comprising an amphiphilic compound (FPLC) with Fmoc-lysine acting as a connector between a nitroimidazole derivative and a pH-responsive cinnamaldehyde (CA) derivative, loaded with photosensitizer IR780.

This effect results in the displacement or deformation of the plane of observation for intravital microscopy and causes motion-induced aberrations of the resulting image data. This, in turn, places severe limitations on the time during which specific events can be observed in intravital imaging experiments.
