Identifying Digital Markers of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in a Remote Monitoring Setting: Prospective Observational Study.

JMIR Form Res

January 2025

Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry Centre, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King's College London, London, United Kingdom.

Background: The symptoms and associated characteristics of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are typically assessed in person at a clinic or in a research lab. Mobile health offers a new approach to obtaining additional passively and continuously measured real-world behavioral data. Using our new ADHD remote technology (ART) system, based on the Remote Assessment of Disease and Relapses (RADAR)-base platform, we explore novel digital markers for their potential to identify behavioral patterns associated with ADHD.

Dissecting macrophage heterogeneity and kaempferol in lung adenocarcinoma: a single-cell transcriptomic approach and network pharmacology.

Discov Oncol

January 2025

Department of Thoracic Surgery, Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center, Fudan University Shanghai, Caolang Highway 2901#, Jinshan District, Shanghai, People's Republic of China.

Background: Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is a leading form of non-small cell lung cancer characterized by a complex tumor microenvironment (TME) that influences disease progression and therapeutic response. Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) within the TME promote tumorigenesis and evasion of immune surveillance, though their heterogeneity poses challenges in understanding their roles and therapeutic targeting. Additionally, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) offers potential anti-cancer agents that could modulate the immune landscape.

Purpose: The goal of the study described in this protocol is to build a multimodal artificial intelligence (AI) model to predict abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) shrinkage 1 year after endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR).

Methods: In this retrospective observational multicenter study, approximately 1000 patients will be enrolled from hospital records of 5 experienced vascular centers. Patients will be included if they underwent elective EVAR for infrarenal AAA with initial assisted technical success and had imaging available of the same modality preoperatively and at 1-year follow-up (CTA-CTA or US-US).

Orthopaedic Sports Injuries in an Aging Population: Current Trends and Future Projections.

Sports Health

January 2025

Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Hackensack Meridian Health, Hackensack, New Jersey.

Background: The elderly US population is growing quickly and staying active longer. However, there is limited information on sports-related injuries in older adults.

Hypotheses: (1) National estimate and incidence of sports-related orthopaedic injuries in the US elderly population have increased over the last 10 years, (2) types and causes of sports-related injuries in the elderly have changed, and (3) elderly sports-related injuries will increase more than the number of treating physicians by 2040.

Thyroid cancer.

Med Clin (Barc)

January 2025

Servicio de Endocrinología y Nutrición, Hospital i Institut de Recerca Germans Trias i Pujol, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, España. Electronic address:

In recent decades, the diagnosis of thyroid cancer, especially the papillary type, has increased significantly due to the use of imaging techniques such as ultrasound. For this reason, it is essential to rationalize diagnosis and treatment, since the behavior of thyroid cancer varies from slow-progressing tumors to highly aggressive ones. The application of risk assessment systems for ultrasound images and the optimization of cytology incorporating molecular studies allows cases to be stratified in order to select therapy on an individual basis.
