This work develops a generic software tool for simulation of the dynamics of sparse multi-terminal memristive networks. The simulator is coded on one platform and relatively compact for easy work-flow and future extensions. Due to its relatively small size it should be easy to transfer (re-program) it using other computer languages. Future applications of the software include studies of various information processing scenarios.

Influenza is a highly contagious respiratory illness that imposes a significant global burden. Antiviral neuraminidase inhibitors (NAIs) such as oseltamivir (OC) have been proven essential, but the emergence of resistant viral strains necessitates the development of novel therapies. This study explored the potential of natural products as alternative NAIs.

Since the 1990s, fatty acids (FA) have drawn significant industrial attention due to their diverse applications creating a demand for biological systems capable of producing high FA titers. While various strategies have been explored to achieve this, many of the conventional approaches rely on extensive genetic manipulations, which often result in strain instability, thus limiting its potential to yield better FA titers. Moreover, stresses such as pH, osmotic, and oxidative imbalances generated during FA production aggravate these challenges, further limiting FA titers.

Cyclin-dependent kinase 9 (CDK9) is considered as an important target in the research of antitumor drugs. Taking the CDK2/9 inhibitor CYC065 as the positive control and an in-house library compound (64) as the lead compound, four classes of 22 target compounds with 9H purine as the core structure were designed to establish structure-activity relationships (SAR). In general, SAR of 9H purine CDK9 inhibitors is systematically described in this paper, resulting in the discovery of two compounds (B2 and B5) with further research value.

We assessed the validity, reliability, and transferability of gas exchange and ventilatory variables from two commonly used metabolic measurement systems (COSMED Quark and VO2Master Pro). Two identical devices from each system were independently connected to a metabolic simulator (VacuMed), and 2 min of steady-state data was recorded at simulated oxygen uptake (V̇O) of 1, 2, 3, and 4 L∙min achieved through minute ventilation (V̇) of 30, 60, 105, and 150 L∙min. Each metabolic analyzer recorded data three times for each "intensity" in a randomized order, and assessments were completed on two separate days.

Background: In X-ray computed tomography (CT), metal-induced beam hardening artifacts arise from the complex interactions between polychromatic X-ray beams and metallic objects, leading to degraded image quality and impeding accurate diagnosis. A previously proposed metal-induced beam hardening correction (MBHC) method provides a theoretical framework for addressing nonlinear artifacts through mathematical analysis, with its effectiveness demonstrated by numerical simulations and phantom experiments. However, in practical applications, this method relies on precise segmentation of highly attenuating materials and parameter estimations, which limit its ability to fully correct artifacts caused by the intricate interactions between metals and other dense materials, such as bone or teeth.
