Speckled lentiginous nevus (SLN) represents a mosaic phenotype which consists of café au lait macule superimposed by melanocytic nevi. Recently, SLN syndrome has been characterized where ipsilateral neurological abnormalities have been reported in association with SLN with papular type of melanocytic nevi only. This case describes the presence of ipsilateral thenar muscle atrophy with median nerve paresis in nevus spilus which had melanocytic nevi of the macular type alone, thus delineating a new association in SLN syndrome, hitherto unreported.

Blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome (BRBNS) is a rare congenital clinical syndrome characterized by venous malformations in multiple organs, including the skin, gastrointestinal tract, liver, and lungs. In June 2022, Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University admitted a rare case of BRBNS. The patient was hospitalized due to abdominal distension and a history of recurrent hematochezia.

Background: Early melanomas, dysplastic melanocytic nevi, and melanocytic tumours of uncertain malignant potential (MELTUMPs) reveal similar clinic and dermoscopic findings leading to underdiagnosis of malign lesions or unnecessary excision of benign ones. High-grade dysplastic nevi and MELTUMPs in the intermediate category should be recognized and completely excised.
Objectives: We evaluated the diagnostic performance of pattern analysis, ABCD rule, colour, architecture, symmetry, and homogeneity algorithm, melanoma-specific structures and asymmetry of dermoscopic features in distinguishing early melanomas, high-grade dysplastic nevi, and MELTUMPs from low-grade dysplastic nevi.

Choroidal neovascularization (CNV) is a pathological angiogenic process observed in various fundus diseases, including choroidal nevi. This article reviews key information on the pathogenesis of CNV associated with choroidal nevi, examines diagnostic methods using optical coherence tomography (OCT) and optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A), including modern classifications and criteria for assessing disease activity. The article also discusses approaches to the differential diagnosis of nevi combined with neovascular age-related macular degeneration, progressive nevi, and melanomas, and analyzes the features of treatment with antiangiogenic agents and their effects on pigmented choroidal lesions.

Background: Large and giant congenital melanocytic nevi present a risk for developing melanoma or neurocutaneous melanosis. Most are caused by NRAS or, less commonly, BRAF mutations.
Objectives: We present a series of patients with large to giant congenital melanocytic nevi with BRAF fusion genes as driver alterations and describe their unique clinical presentation.
