A software package for the IBM PC computer is presented to facilitate the analysis of three-channel Lissajous' trajectories (3CLT) of auditory brainstem potentials. The program deals with 4-channel numeric or ASCII files, including three orthogonal X, Y, Z channels and standard vertex-mastoid on the stimulated side. The 3CLT analysis program implements standard measurements of peak latencies, voltage amplitude and curvature plots computed from the three orthogonal channels, interactive three-dimensional rotations of the trajectory and planar segment analysis. Parameter estimates of the best-fit plane are computed for any part of the trajectory limited by two latency cursors. Results are displayed and stored in a table including segment bounds and duration, sight vector orientation, plane equation parameters and adjustment criteria.

Selecting channels for motor imagery (MI)-based brain-computer interface (BCI) systems can not only enhance the portability of the systems, but also improve the decoding performance. Hence, we propose a cross-domain-based channel selection (CDCS) approach, which effectively minimizes the number of EEG channels used while maintaining high accuracy in MI recognition. The EEG source imaging (ESI) technique is employed to map scalp EEG into the cortical source domain.

Rapid screening of inorganic arsenic (iAs) in groundwater used for drinking by hundreds of millions of mostly rural residents worldwide is crucial for health protection. Most commercial field test kits are based on the Gutzeit reaction that uses mercury-based reagents for color development, an environmental concern that increasingly limits its utilization. This study further improves the Molybdenum Blue (MB) colorimetric method to allow for faster screening with more stable reagents.

This study aimed to predict and fit the nonlinear dynamic grip force of the human upper limb using surface electromyographic (sEMG) signals. The research employed a time-series-based neural network, NARX, to establish a mapping relationship between the electromyographic signals of the forearm muscle groups and dynamic grip force. Three-channel electromyographic signal acquisition equipment and a grip force sensor were used to record muscle signals and grip force data of the subjects under specific dynamic force conditions.

Anticancer peptides (ACPs) demonstrate significant potential in clinical cancer treatment due to their ability to selectively target and kill cancer cells. In recent years, numerous artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms have been developed. However, many predictive methods lack sufficient wet lab validation, thereby constraining the progress of models and impeding the discovery of novel ACPs.

Introduction/aims: In healthy subjects, we observed high amplitude motor unit potential (MUP) waveforms that resembled the cannula potential (CP) with a positive sharp wave (PSW)-like waveform. We analyzed the source of this signal, its prevalence, and its effects on the analysis of electromyographic waveforms.
Methods: Three channel recordings were performed to explore the contribution of the needle core and cannula to the MUP.
