Severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) is the primary cause of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, which affects millions of people worldwide with high levels of infectivity and mortality. However, the antibodies developed for COVID-19 research and diagnostics are still limited. Therefore, in this study, we developed polyclonal immunoglobulin (IgY) antibodies from chicken egg yolk targeting multi-epitope antigen of SARS-CoV-2.

Yolk sac tumor (YST) and teratoma both categorized as germ cell tumor (GCT). YST shows preferential differentiation toward yolk sac structures, while teratoma consists of tissues that originate from at least two embryonic germinal layers. Extragonadal location of YST is rare, whereas extragonadal teratoma is majority presented in nasopharynx area.

Yolk sac tumour also known as primitive endodermal tumour is the most common malignant germ cell tumour (GCT) in the paediatric age group. Most common sites of involvement are ovaries and testes, but rarely can occur in the extragonadal sites. In the head and neck region, yolk sac tumours have been reported in the nasopharynx, sinonasal tract, orbit, ear and parotid gland.

Yolk sac tumor (YST), also known as endodermal sinus tumor, is a highly malignant germ cell tumor that is extremely rare in the sinonasal region, especially in adults. To the best of our knowledge, only five such cases have been reported till date (four men, one woman). We present a case of sinonasal YST admixed with transitional cell carcinoma in a 58-year-old female.

Extragonadal pure yolk sac tumor of sinonasal origin is very rare. We report herein a case with sinonasal yolk sac tumor in a 1 year and 3 months old girl. The initial complaint was persistent nasal bleeding for about 2 months.
