Introduction: The intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) are increasingly diagnosed entities with high potential of malignancy and significant recurrence rates.

Presentation Of Case: In this case report a rare mixed IPMN with full invasion of the pancreatic ducts was identified.

Discussion: Difficulties in determining the grade of pancreatic duct involvement make the surgical management tough.

Conclusion: In multifocal IPMNs the management of the patients is even more challenging. In this case the patient was treated successfully with total pancreatectomy.

Background: Tumor size (TS) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the most important prognostic factors. However, discrepancies between TS on preoperative images (TSi) and pathological specimens (TSp) have been reported. This study aims to evaluate the factors associated with the differences between TSi and TSp.

Aberrant glycosylation has been implicated in promoting the progression and metastasis of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). However, the contribution of different glycosylation-related genes in PDAC remains to be clarified. In this study, we performed a differential analysis of RNA-Seq data from TCGA and GTEx and found GALNT5 as the most significant upregulated glycosylation-related gene in PDAC.

Department of Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery, First People's Hospital of Jiashan County, Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, China.

Introduction: Primary squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is a rare type of pancreatic cancer with an extremely low incidence rate and a prognosis that is poorer than that of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.

Presentation Of Case: We report a case of pure pancreatic SCC in an 80-year-old man. Based on the examination before surgical resection, we did not detect any SCC lesions that might have metastasized to the pancreas.

Background: Liver malignancies present substantial challenges to surgeons due to the extensive hepatic resections required, frequently resulting in posthepatectomy liver failure. Associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) was designed to increase the resectable liver volume, yet it is associated with significant mortality and morbidity rates. Recently, minimally invasive techniques have been incorporated into ALPPS, with the potential to improve the procedure's safety profile whilst maintaining efficacy.
