The lipid composition of plasma membranes (a brush margin and basolateral membranes) of enterocytes from the jejunum of cattle: adult animals (aged 1.5-3) and newborns (3-5 days) both healthy and suffering from diarrhea has been studied. Substantial differences are established in the content of phospholipids, cholesterol and fatty acids in the brush margin and basolateral membranes as well as in the both membrane fractions of the adult, newborn and sick animals.

Composite photocatalysts based on metal nanoparticles and functional polymers attract much attention compared to inorganic photocatalysts. In this study, a reusable magnetite/anion exchanger (FeO/PPE-2) functional material is synthesized by a hydrothermal method, and its photocatalytic activity is evaluated for the photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB). The results from materials characterization confirm a well-defined morphology of magnetic FeO/PPE-2 functional material and the formation of FeO nanocrystals with different shapes and sizes on the surface of anion exchange material (PPE-2).

Unlabelled: One of the principles of prevention and non-drug treatment of liver diseases, including hepatitis of various etiologies, is the normalization of the diet, including the use of daily diet foods with physiologically active ingredients, in particular betulin, which helps to reduce metabolic and oxidative processes within liver cells. The aim of the work was to evaluate the in vivo effect of triterpene alcohol betulin Roth isolated from the bark of birch Betula pendula Roth. added to fat-containing products (for example, mayonnaise) on the biochemical parameters of blood and the morphological structure of the liver of rats with initiated acute toxic hepatitis.

Lithium-sulfur batteries have been recognized as one of the excellent candidates for next-generation energy storage batteries because of their high energy density and low cost and low pollution. However, lithium-sulfur batteries have been challenged by low conductivity, low sulfur utilization, poor cycle life, and the shuttle effect of polysulfides. To address these problems, we report here an independent mixed sulfur host.

Introduction: Golden Retrievers have a high risk of obesity, which is prevalent in dogs and is associated with inflammation and cancer, impairing the health and life expectancy of companion animals. Microbial and metabolite biomarkers have been proposed for identifying the presence of obesity in humans and rodents. However, the effects of obesity on the microbiome and metabolome of Golden Retrievers remains unknown.

The mechanically-activated ion channel PIEZO1 is critical to numerous physiological processes, and is activated by diverse mechanical cues. The channel is gated by membrane tension and has been found to be mobile in the plasma membrane. We employed single particle tracking (SPT) of endogenous, tdTomato-tagged PIEZO1 using Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence Microscopy in live cells.
