New treatment approaches are warranted for patients with advanced melanoma refractory to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) or BRAF-targeted therapy. We designed BNT221, a personalized, neoantigen-specific autologous T cell product derived from peripheral blood, and tested this in a 3 + 3 dose-finding study with two dose levels (DLs) in patients with locally advanced or metastatic melanoma, disease progression after ICB, measurable disease (Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors version 1.1) and, where appropriate, BRAF-targeted therapy.

Toxoplasmosis induced by Toxoplasma gondii is a well-known health threat, that prompts fatal encephalitis increased with immunocompromised patients, in addition, it can cause chorioretinitis, microcephaly, stillbirth in the fetus and even led to death. Standard therapy uses sulfadiazine and pyrimethamine drugs revealed beneficial results during the acute stage, however, it has severe side effects. UPLC-ESI-MS/MS used to explore C.

Background: Patients with diffuse anaplastic Wilms tumor (DAWT) experience relatively poor oncologic outcomes. Previous work has described mechanisms of telomerase upregulation in DAWT, posing a potential therapeutic target.

Methods: We assessed in vitro sensitivity to vincristine, irinotecan, and telomerase-targeting drug 6-thio-2'-deoxyguanosine (6 dG) in DAWT cell lines WiT49 and PDM115 and in spheroids derived from cell lines and four DAWT patient-derived xenografts (PDX).

Background: Coronary stenting operations have become the main option for the treatment of coronary heart disease. Vessel recovery after stenting has emerged as a critical factor in reducing possible complications. In this study, we evaluated the feasibility, safety and efficacy of locally administered intraluminal gene therapy delivered using a specialized infusion balloon catheter.

December 2024

Service de cardiologie, hôpital Henri-Mondor, 94000 Créteil, France. Electronic address:

Background: Catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction is associated with a significant reduction in morbimortality. The convergent procedure is a valid ablation option for the treatment of long-standing persistent atrial fibrillation.

Aim: To describe the outcomes of patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction and long-standing persistent atrial fibrillation who underwent the convergent procedure.
