The authors analyze the remote results of treatment of 56 patients with neglected injuries to the median and/or ulnar nerves after combined surgical interventions including restoration of the nerves, flexor tendons, one of the main arteries, and correction of neurogenic deformation of the hand. The results were assessed according to a specially developed comprehensive scheme with due consideration for recovery of individual structures of the hand and of its total function. Good and satisfactory results were achieved in 96 percent of patients, which fact recommends combined surgical interventions for the treatment of neglected injuries to the hand and finger nerves.
