The stability of dopamine hydrochloride (Intropin) in several large-volume parenteral solutions was studied. Admixtures of dopamine were assayed by colorimetric and chromatographic procedures. Admixtures (800 mug dopamine per ml) in the following intravenous fluids in glass bottles at pH 6.85 or below were found to be chemically and physically stable for at least 48 hours at room temperature: dextrose 5%, dextrose 5% and sodium chloride 0.9%, 5% dextrose in 0.45% sodium chloride, dextrose 5% in lactated Ringer's solution, lactated Ringer's injection, 0.9% sodium chloride, 1/6 molar sodium lactate, and 20% mannitol. The admixture of dopamine in 5% dextrose was stable for a minimum of seven days at 5 C. A 5% dextrose-dopamine admixture in a polyvinylchloride bag was stable for at least 24 hours at room temperature. The admixture of dopamine in 5% sodium bicarbonate solution produced an unstable solution of pH 8.20. A chemical and physical change (development of a pink color) was observed in this admixture. It is recommended that dopamine not be added to 5% sodium bicarbonate solution or any alkaline intravenous solution.

Strain NoAH (=KACC 23135=JCM 35999), a novel Gram-negative, motile bacterium with a rod-shaped morphology, was isolated from the zoo animal faecal samples, specifically the long-tailed goral species . The novel bacterial strain grew optimally in a nutrient broth medium under the following conditions: 1-2% (w/v) NaCl, pH 7-8 and 30 °C. The strain NoAH exhibited high tolerance to NaCl, with the ability to tolerate up to 7% (w/v) NaCl.

Botulinum toxin-A (BTX-A) is widely used for aesthetic purposes and is recognized for its vasomotor actions. However, new medical applications have emerged. This study aims to describe the effect of BTX-A on human skin perfusion, particularly vessel diameter, blood flow, and blood vessel density in regions with known low vessel density.

Effects of 60 Hz non-uniform electromagnetic fields (EMFs) on the tomato (cv. L-05) seed germination, photosynthesis, and seedling growth under salt stress and laboratory conditions were investigated. A previous trial investigated the impact of salt stress levels (0, 40, 60, 80, and 100 mM NaCl) on tomato seeds, and the 100 mM NaCl level was selected to study the effects of EMFs in attenuating salinity stress on germination, physiology, and growth of tomato seedlings.

In this paper, poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride)(PDDA)/poly(sodium styrene sulfonate)(PSS) nanomembranes were deposited on the surface of long-period fiber gratings (LPFG) using the electrostatic layer-by-layer (LBL) assembly method, and the effect of NaCl on the modulation of LPFG double peaks by PDDA/PSS nanomembranes was investigated. The principle behind the emergence of double peaks was first explored using coupled mode theory, revealing that changes in the mode effective refractive index(RI) occur as the number of nanomembrane layers increases. The experimental results showed that under the conditions of PDDA with NaCl/PSS without NaCl and PDDA without NaCl/PSS with NaCl, double peaks do not appear in the spectra of LPFG as the number of thin film layers increases.
