Background: Feeding patients' self-reported medical history into the diagnostic care process may accelerate workflows in clinical routine.
Methods: We prospectively piloted a novel medical history documentation system in a German cardiological outpatient practice and evaluated its feasibility and perceived usefulness. Based on a generic software that allows to record structured information, a customized solution for the cooperating practice was developed and implemented.

Mucormycosis caused by is a rare opportunistic infection in patients with hematological malignancies (HM), with high mortality rates. Herein, we first report a case of pulmonary mucormycosis (PM) with in a 25-year-old male recently diagnosed with T-lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL). The diagnosis was established through chest computed tomography (CT), metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) of blood and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF), as well as histopathological examination.

Background: The demand for support among people with dementia is increasing, while caregiving capacity is declining. As the trend of aging at home continues, technologies can help maintain the autonomy of people with dementia, enabling them to live independently for as long as possible. Furthermore, digital applications can have numerous positive biopsychosocial effects on the health of people with dementia, enhancing their physical, cognitive, and social functioning.

Hypertension is the predominant risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and mortality. This study presents the first method for the simultaneous analysis of the co-administered antihypertensive drugs, Carvedilol (CAR) and Telmisartan (TEL) using a fast, highly sensitive, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective second derivative synchronous spectrofluorimetric approach. The fluorescence of CAR and TEL was quantified at 243 nm and 274.
