Background: Several scores have been developed to stratify the risk of graft loss in controlled donation after circulatory death (cDCD). However, their performance is unsatisfactory in the Spanish population, where most cDCD livers are recovered using normothermic regional perfusion (NRP). Consequently, we explored the role of different machine learning-based classifiers as predictive models for graft survival.

January 2025

Advanced Electrophoresis Solutions Ltd., 380 Jamieson Parkway, Unit 7 and 8, ON, N3C 4N4 Canada; AES Biotech Jiaxing Ltd., No. 501 South Changsheng Road, Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, P.R. China. Electronic address:

Characterizing major bovine milk proteins, including whey and casein, is of significant interest in the dairy industry. The diverse array of protein proteoforms can be different in terms of genetic variation, breed ways, lactation stage, and animal nutritional status. Current routine methods for bovine milk protein profiling are typically based on immunological techniques, infrared spectroscopy, slab gel isoelectric focusing, capillary electrophoresis, and high-performance liquid chromatography.

National Center for Respiratory Medicine; State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Health and Multimorbidity; National Clinical Research Center for Respiratory Diseases; Institute of Respiratory Medicine, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences; Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Center of Respiratory Medicine, China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Beijing, China.

Background: Poor symptom control and exacerbations of asthma diminish quality of life and pose a significant burden to patients and society. Implementing evidence-based management as recommended by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA), especially introducing inhaled corticosteroid-containing treatments, has the potential to vastly reduce exacerbations and the high burden of asthma in China. However, domestic implementation of the GINA recommendations has been unsatisfactory, especially in lower-level hospitals; thus, an enhancement to the awareness of and adherence to the GINA recommendations among Chinese physicians is needed to improve patient outcomes.

Advanced-stage extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL) is a highly heterogeneous disease with very poor prognosis. All commonly utilized prognostic models incorporated both early-stage and advanced-stage patients in the modeling process. This study aim to design a prognostic model specifically for advanced-stage ENKTL, providing risk stratification in affected patients.
