A cutaneous ciliated cyst is a rare entity found predominantly in the lower extremities and perineal region of young females. Although initially described by Hess in 1890, the present day term, "cutaneous ciliated cyst," was proposed by Farmer in 1978 and includes a wide array of cyst types. Despite their typical female predominance and location, many have described cutaneous ciliated cysts in males and atypical locations. In addition, Mullerian cysts in the posterior mediastinum and the retroperitoneum have been reported. To date, only 40 cases have been reported in the literature of a Mullerian-type, cutaneous ciliated cyst. Here, we report a case of 13-year-old female with one in the gluteal cleft, initially presenting as a pilonidal cyst. We also discuss the differential diagnosis of pediatric sacrococcygeal lesions and pathogenesis of a Mullerian-type, cutaneous ciliated cyst.

The skin mucosa of fish is exposed to significant challenges from infectious disease agents due to continuous exposure to the aqueous environment. Interestingly, bony fish have evolved to express a unique IgT, which is absent in terrestrials, that appears to play a predominant role in the mucosal-associated lymphoid tissue of the rainbow trout. Nevertheless, in other IgT-producing fish, it is unclear whether IgM or IgT is primarily responsible for protection against infections of cutaneous tissue.

Cutaneous ciliated cysts are rare benign lesions most commonly seen in the lower extremities of young female patients. There is still ongoing debate about the origin of these cysts, with the most common theories being Mullerian heterotopia and eccrine gland metaplasia. To further increase the data pool, we present 2 new cutaneous ciliated cyst cases and gathered data about all 67 cases of literature.

Objectives: We encountered patients with a congenital cutaneous sinus tract in the sternoclavicular joint region, which we designate as "congenital sternoclavicular sinus (CSCS)." The aim of this investigation is to enhance recognition of this subtle yet noteworthy entity and develop standardized protocols for its management.
Patients And Methods: Between 2013 and 2023, 172 patients, including 78 males and 94 females, were referred to our institution for the management of CSCS.
