A prolonged tuberculosis outbreak, linked by whole-genome sequencing, occurred in a Pasifika extended family over 10 years (2013-2022) in Sydney, Australia. Despite Australia's low tuberculosis incidence, social and cultural complexities, and coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) disruptions exacerbated transmission. Control required culturally sensitive, family-centered care and robust health system engagement.

Background: Alzheimer's disease poses a growing health crisis in China, exacerbated by the country's rapidly aging population and cultural emphasis on family-based care. Caregivers shoulder immense physical and psychological burdens, often struggling to reconcile personal expectations with the demands of caregiving.
Method: This study based on ethnographic data collected through prolonged engagements with a family in urban China caring for an adult diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, explores the application of Role Theory.

Issue Addressed: Nutrition and physical activity practices in Australian family day care are suboptimal. A web-based tool was co-developed with family day care service providers and educators, health promotion staff and the New South Wales Ministry of Health to promote healthier nutrition and physical activity practices through an existing quality improvement process.
Methods: Formative evaluation was conducted in January-February 2023.
