The prevalence of goiter, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancers in the pediatric population has increased. In some rare cases, local conditions such as juvenile desmoid-type fibromatosis (JDTF) can mimic specific thyroid pathology, complicating the diagnostic process. A 17-year-old obese adolescent girl was admitted to the Endocrinology Department with progressive swelling on the left side of the neck, persisting for approximately one year, recently accompanied by dysphonia and inspiratory dyspnea, and ultimately diagnosed as a unilateral nodular goiter associated with compressive phenomena.

Over the past decades, new treatments and guidelines have been introduced for the screening and management of familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). However, the impact of these medical and scientific advances on the characteristics and burden of coronary lesions over time in FH remains poorly documented. The primary goal of this study is to determine the characteristics of coronary lesions in HeFH patients who underwent coronary angiography within two distinct timeframes: the last five years versus those who had the procedure at the same hospital 25 years earlier.

Subclavian artery pseudoaneurysms are rare but potentially life-threatening vascular injuries frequently associated with trauma such as clavicle fractures. In this paper we describe the case of a 49-year-old male who developed a post-traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the subclavian artery after a bicycle accident. The diagnosis was delayed due to non-specific symptoms and an initially missed aneurysm on computed tomography imaging.

: Catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation (AF) is a well-established therapeutic approach for maintaining sinus rhythm, though its efficacy remains suboptimal in certain patients. The left atrium (LA) volume, commonly assessed through transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), is a recognized predictor of AF recurrence after pulmonary vein isolation (PVI). However, the complex three-dimensional structure of the LA makes precise measurement challenging with traditional TTE techniques.
