Background: Drug response prediction is critical in precision medicine to determine the most effective and safe treatments for individual patients. Traditional prediction methods relying on demographic and genetic data often fall short in accuracy and robustness. Recent graph-based models, while promising, frequently neglect the critical role of atomic interactions and fail to integrate drug fingerprints with SMILES for comprehensive molecular graph construction.

Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells ameliorate diet-induced obesity by activating thermogenesis and alleviating inflammation in adipose tissue.

Biochem Biophys Res Commun

February 2025

Laboratory of Tissue Regeneration and Immunology and Department of Periodontics, Beijing Key Laboratory of Tooth Regeneration and Function Reconstruction, School of Stomatology, Capital Medical University, Beijing, PR China. Electronic address:

Obesity and its related metabolic disorders seriously threaten our health and significantly reduce our life expectancy. The aim of the present study was to explore the effects of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) on high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity mice. The results demonstrated that BMSCs significantly reduced body weight, improved glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity in obese mice.

Objective: Emotion measurement is central to capturing acute alcohol reinforcement and so to informing models of alcohol use disorder etiology. Yet our understanding of how alcohol impacts emotion as assessed across diverse response modalities remains incomplete. The present study leverages a social alcohol-administration paradigm to assess drinking-related emotions, aiming to elucidate impacts of intoxication on self-reported versus behaviorally expressed emotion.
