The PD-1/PDL-1 immune checkpoint inhibitors revolutionized cancer treatment, yet osteosarcoma remains a therapeutic challenge. In some types of cancer, PD-1 receptor is not solely expressed by immune cells but also by cancer cells, acting either as a tumor suppressor or promoter. While well-characterized in immune cells, little is known about the role and interactome of the PD-1 pathway in cancer.

Recent development of immune checkpoint inhibitors has revolutionized cancer immunotherapy. Although these drugs show dramatic effects on a subset of cancer patients, many other tumors are non-responsive and the pathological mechanism of the resistance is largely unknown. To identify genes underlying anti-PD-1 immunotherapy resistance using a systematic approach, we performed an in vivo genome wide CRISPR screening in lung cancer cells.

The combination of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and angiogenesis inhibitors (AGIs) is widely used in cancer treatment; however, drug-drug reactions (DDIs) remain unknown. We aimed to identify interaction signals for the concomitant use of ICIs and AGIs. Data were obtained from the US FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) from January 1, 2015, to December 31, 2023.

To investigate the prognostic value of GPN1 in cancer and its role in the migration of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC or LIHC) cells, we used several databases to assess GPN1 expression levels and effects in human tumors. Furthermore, experiments were conducted to verify changes in GPN1 expression in HCC cell lines and explore its biological function. We found that GPN1 gene and protein expression were significantly increased in several tumor tissues.

Background And Aims: Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)and persistent high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV)infection are associated with impaired local cellular immunity; however, the molecular mechanisms underlying these processes are not well understood. The involvement of the programmed death 1/programmed death 1 ligand (PD-1/PD-L1) pathway in the downregulation of T cell function has been demonstrated recently and it is believed to have a role in the onset and persistence of HPV infection and cervical cancer. Our aim is to analyze the role of PD-L1 in the CIN to identify a possible biomarker of HSIL (CIN2+) progression and persistence.
