Objective: The Contact Surface Area (CSA) is a predictor for peri-operative parameters and represents the contact area between the tumor and the organ. A precise method for calculating CSA is yet to be found. We tested a new CSA calculation method as a predictor of intra-operative parameters in robot assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN).

Objectives: Compulsive Online Shopping (COS) is considered a technological addiction, characterized by excessive engagement in online shopping behaviors that can cause economic, social, and emotional impairments in an individual's life. Among the theoretical models aimed at conceptualizing addictive behaviors, the metacognitive model has gained increased attention. However, no previous study has investigated the role of metacognitions in COS.

On-the-fly biofabrication of reproducible 3D tumor models at a pre-clinical level is highly desirable to level-up their applicability and predictive potential. Incorporating ECM biomolecular cues and its complex 3D bioarchitecture in the design stages of such in vitro platforms is essential to better recapitulate the native tumor microenvironment. To materialize these needs, herein we describe an innovative flow-on-repellent (FLORE) 3D extrusion bioprinting technique that leverages expedited and automatized bioink deposition onto a customized superhydrophobic printing bed.

Passivating solid electrolyte interphases (SEIs) in Ca metal anodes constitute a long-standing challenge, as they block Ca transport and inhibit reversible Ca deposition/stripping. Current solutions focus primarily on boron/aluminum-based electrolytes to mitigate such interfacial issues by producing Ca-conductive species, yet the complex synthetic procedure of these salts restricts the widespread application. Moreover, whether any inorganic phases possess decent Ca conductivity within SEIs remains ambiguous.

Genetic evaluations in beef cattle have evolved over the past 50 years relative to the hardware or software used, the statistical methodology underpinning them, and the traits evaluated. However, the underlying premise has remained the same; to generate predictions of genetic merit such that selection decisions can be made that materialize as phenotypic changes in commercial animals. The wide-spread availability and adoption of genomic technology has enabled more accurate genetic predictions of young animals albeit with the requirement of continual collection and reporting of phenotypic data.
